What should I expect at my first appointment?
Before your visit, you’ll receive an online consultation form. This helps me understand your skin, lifestyle and preferences so I can tailor your treatment perfectly.
When you arrive, we’ll take a few minutes to chat through your form, your goals and any current concerns. I’ll then explain your treatment and from there, it’s time to unwind, breathe deeply and let me take care of the rest.

What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal. You’ll be asked to remove your top and bra straps so I can work on your shoulders, neck and décolleté. I use hair oil during the scalp massage so please let me know if this isn’t suitable.

Are treatments suitable for everyone?
In some cases, treatments may need to be adapted, for example if you’re taking certain medication, have an injury, or an active infection.
If I’m unable to safely carry out your chosen treatment, I’ll always try to adjust or offer an alternative. However, if you arrive and the treatment can’t proceed due to something not disclosed beforehand, it will be classed as a cancellation.
This is rare, but honesty and communication help keep your experience safe and relaxing.

How should I prepare for my facial?
Please arrive makeup-free if possible and avoid using exfoliants or active skincare for 24 hours before your appointment.

Can I wear makeup after my facial?
Your skin will be beautifully fresh and glowing afterwards. I recommend leaving it makeup-free for the rest of the day as a minimum to let the products continue to work their magic.

Can I have a facial if I'm pregnant?
Yes. After your first trimester, the treatment can be beautifully adapted for pregnancy, ensuring complete comfort and safety. Many mums-to-be find facials with gentle massage incredibly soothing during this time.
Please let me know at booking so I can tailor everything appropriately.

How long are the treatments?
Treatments range from 30 minutes to 1hr15 depending on what you choose however it's worth booking out 2 hours from your diary for the Deluxe and Luxury facial so that you don't have to rush.
Every session is bespoke so if your skin or body needs a little extra time, I’ll always allow it so the experience never feels rushed.

How long will I be with you?
I allow a little extra time at each appointment for you to settle in, enjoy a calm chat and ease into relaxation. Many clients find this “pause” before and after their facial as nurturing as the treatment itself.

How will I know if my treatment has worked?
Some clients notice an instant glow and sense of calm; others find the results build subtly over a few days. You may feel deeply relaxed, a little sleepy, or notice minor detox effects such as a mild headache or thirst but this is completely normal.
Consistency is key: for most people, 3-6 monthly treatments give the best long-term results for both skin and wellbeing.

 

What happens if I need to reschedule my treatment?
I completely understand that life happens. Please give at least 48 hours notice so I can offer your slot to another client.

Can I gift a treatment?
Absolutely! Treatment and gift vouchers make the most thoughtful presents.
You can purchase digital or physical vouchers directly through the booking link or message me to arrange something bespoke.

 

Are gift vouchers valid for all treatments?
Yes, all vouchers can be used towards any treatment at The Facial Sanctuary.

What products do you use?

Every facial at The Facial Sanctuary features Tropic Skincare. A multi-award-winning, vegan and cruelty-free range freshly made in Britain using the purest natural and organic ingredients. I’ve been proudly using Tropic in my treatments since 2018, as their values align beautifully with my own: ethical, sustainable and results-driven. Their products are independently tested and scientifically proven to deliver visible, healthy skin results.  

 

Do you offer memberships or loyalty rewards?
Not yet but this will be coming in the near future so watch this space!
